BACKGROUND:

Born on the first day of April, Hurley’s very birth was suspected to be a joke at first. His mother was not due to deliver for another month and a half and when she phoned her husband from the hospital to say that she had just given birth and that the labor had lasted only 17 minutes, he believed she was playing an April Fool’s Day joke on him. The sentiment was not lost on Joshua Hurley and his life has since been filled with joking. Being the third of 5 children, Hurley felt he had to make himself known somehow and so began doing stand up comedy at the age of 15. He was so successful, he is well known in his home state. However, once he graduated from high School, he decided to go into nursing and entered Pre-med classes at Harvard University. He finished up his studying at Starfleet Academy’s Medical School and since then has been using humor to help patients heal faster. “If you keep a positive attitude, your body can’t help but line up!” as he is fond of saying.

PERSONALITY PROFILE:

Joshua Hurley, or simply “Hurley” as he is known by friends, is very laid back and easy going. He takes anything that happens in stride and is seemingly unfazed by even the strangest occurrences. He loves to joke around and play practical jokes on his friends. He is extremely fond of the opposite sex and charming enough to attract them in droves, however, he prefers to keep a professional relationship with the women with whom he works the closest.
