The AQSG Triad was a body initially formed with the idea of three heads being better then one and was to be the ultimate decision making body within the AQSG sim group. It remained in existence until February 8th, 2006.
Admiral Michael Hunt; Stepped down from his position to take an extended LOA and at that time gave up his duties as AQSG Webmaster. He has since returned to take command of the AQSG's 1st Fleet.
Admiral Obi Mendahar; Due to personal time constraints he has stepped down from all of his positions within the AQSG which included command of the 5th Fleet and the Academy.
Fleet Admiral Ryan Harper; Continues to serve in his position as CO of the AQSG as well as the group's 3rd Fleet and the USS Patriot, the AQSG's oldest simulation. He is currently the highest ranking active officer, via time-in-grade and is the CO of AQSG and oversees all functions of the group.
The original Triad members remain in the AQSG today as the traditional founding body more then anything else. While only one member of the original Triad continues to perform all of their previous duties, the original TRIAD rank and honors bestowed remain permanently theirs as a reward and special tribute to their hard work and dedication to this group during the beginning years of the AQSG and the work so performed by these three officers.
For their years of dedication, these original TRIAD Admirals have been bestowed a special PIP insignia, where their board is red and off-white in color with their highest rank achieved.

Those two additional Admirals whom made up the second generation of the AQSG Triad by filling the vacancies left behind by the retirements of Admirals Hunt and Mendahar, continued the original plan while helping to enact new ideas and thoughts to continue to move AQSG forward to where it now currently stands, have also been bestowed a special PIP design for their faithful and unselfish efforts. Their board is red and gold in color with their highest or current rank achieved.
Fleet Admiral John Etling Once served as the AQSG Executive Officer as well as Commanding Officer of the Vanguard (9th) Fleet based in the Delta Quadrant. Admiral Etling has is currently on an extended LOA.
Vice Admiral Madigan Frost Currently serves as Executive Officer of the AQSG and commands the 7th Vanguard Fleet.
Today, the AQSG steps in a new direction with a new Chain of Command. Presently, Fleet Admiral Ryan Harper serves as the group Commanding Officer and Vice-Admiral Madigan Frost as his second-in-command. Fleet Captain Harvey Geisler, captain of 3rd Fleet's USS Black Hawk, maintains the website and administrates the forums.
The decision making duties previously performed exclusively by the original and second generation Triad now fall upon the entire command staff within the AQSG which consists of the Flag Officers and of all the various Commanding Officers and Executive Officers from the various fleets and ships. While the AQSG is still ultimately governed and overseen by Harper and Frost, the Commanding Officers and Executive Officers have a very important role with hands-on responsibility in dictating policy, especially within their own fleet and/or ship as well as the overall performance of AQSG.
The case today is not that three heads are better then one, but rather the more heads the better. Each and every member of this group is invited to provide their input into how they feel the AQSG could benefit and become better and grow larger in the future.
